Martha Crow Paintings

My aim as an artist is to paint what I see with a clarity that transcends both time and place. I paint large and small still lifes and the industrial landscape of Brooklyn's Gowanus Canal, which I see from my studio windows: a jumble of junkyards, factories, and warehouses in the process of being torn down—juxtaposed against green water and blue skies.
